Couples Therapy
Whether it be that you’re wanting to get support for problem prevention, improve communication, increase positivity with your partner(s), crisis management, or make a decision about your relationship(s), there are many ways couples therapy can be a valuable resource.
Individual Therapy
Sometimes we can’t manage emotions and stressors all on our own, and leaning on those close to you can feel challenging. Fear of judgment, biases, and ineffective support can make it difficult to access the right kind of help. Therapy is often a space to get that needed help that is free of these barriers.
Family Therapy
We can feel stuck in patterns with our family and friends that are toxic, damaging, ineffective and unhealthy. Family therapy is a tool that can help break these patterns and initiate lasting change to improve the quality of these relationships.

Hi! I’m Megan Boutinen, PhD.
I am a licensed psychologist and the owner of Pacific Vista Psychology. I am trained as a generalist and I specialize in working with couples as well as eating disorders.
What does it mean to be trained as a generalist? My training and experience includes treating a wide range of presenting concerns (for example, depression, anxiety, and trauma). Focus areas I am adept and enjoy working with include those needing support through life transitions, career and identity exploration, relationship/dating anxiety, and grief & loss.
Within my couples’ work, I am skilled with working with high conflict couples and those that are navigating relationship ambivalence and separation. I am knowledgeable in supporting nontraditional and polyamorous couples, and I am a kink and LGBTQIA+ ally.
For those coming to me with body image and eating/food related struggles, my work is based in health at every size and intuitive eating models.
